1st TERM EXAM – SPEAKING PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
PERIODO 2023 – 2024 CI A
Directions: You are being given a set of 5 possible topics for the 1st TERM EXAM - SPEAKING SECTION. You have
to choose only ONE of the topics and record a video of about a minimum of 2 minutes minimum with a maximum
of 2 minutes and 30 seconds, where you HAVE TO SPEAK AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ABOUT THE ONE TOPIC YOU
CHOSE. The most important is that your voice can be heard, and you can be seen all the time or most of the time.
The task is individual. You must appear all the time in the video. You can edit your video by adding pictures or you
can record the actions. You can use any video maker app of your preference. I recommend using ZOOM since you
record yourself while you can be seen and heard at the same time when you are sharing your screen when using
visual material for the video. Be careful when recording the video and DO IT SAFELY, that means to be careful
with surroundings in order to avoid accidents or robberies. Once your video is ready, you have to upload it to
your ONE DRIVE Institutional Account. Share it with a LINK ON THE MIDTERM EXAM – SPEAKING PROJECT
SECTION which you can find at the end of unit 2 in Moodle Platform, in the MID-TERM CLOSING BLOCK section.
Please, check the GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS before the EXAM.
Don’t forget to add a proper introduction for your video, for example:
“Hello, my name is …. and this is my speaking project for the mid-term exam. The topic I chose is…..”
A. POSSIBLE TOPICS: (ONLY ONE)
1. Talk about your favorite hobbies and the activities that you like to do in your free time. What you like
and what you dislike doing. Explain and give examples.
2. Talk about your family. Describe the relationship that you have with them. Tell their names, ages, what
they do and where they work.
3. Talk about your daily routine. Explain what you do daily and how frequent you do these activities.
4. Introduce yourself. Give personal information about yourself.
5. Interview a person using information questions.
B. GRADING:
The final grade on this project is out of 2 MARKS in the AVERAGE OF YOUR MID-TERM EXAM.
