Know what a computer is in a simple way. Learn about the advantages that computers offer. Show a perspective about the topic. Present some disadvantages of computers.
Lasts years, technology, including computers have been improving a lot. Many things of the past, disappeared, giving space to the new era, in where people often use computers or even their cellphone in many areas. The computer is a device able to make different processes and save information. Computers have many programs that allow it to do important things people want it to do. According to Computer Hope (Computer Hope, 2021), the advantages of computers are: Increase employments opportunities: the people that know how computers are used, can get a better opportunity than someone that doesn’t know how to use one. Nowadays, know about computers is important before applying for a job, since on many occasions usually people work with technologies. Makes productivity better: computers allow create different works, for example, videos, text documents, order schedules, finances, learn many new things, etc.… As there are some people that like wasting time on internet, there are those who take advantage of internet and learn something new. Save information: space on technology is wide and is possible use it in different ways. Aside, if people save their information on computers is easier to find it and take just a few seconds. These affirmations written by Computer Hope, are right, because this is
something useful, since if people don’t have many spaces in their houses, can make a folder on the computer and put books, photos, documents, etcetera… this is a positive way of use technology and stop buying unnecessary physical things that just contribute to the environmental pollution. Computers offer entertainment: there are many shows and music to watch and listen with computers, aside, is possible to find streaming platforms that let people watch comfortably their favorites shows, for example, Netflix, HBO, Disney+, Hulu, etcetera. On the other hand, people can enjoy of reading their favorite books too. For them, there are apps too that make this possible. Just having a computer, give a lot of opportunities. Get money: computers help to get money because people can create online stores on internet, so if someone don’t get a job, is possible start being an owner of one and sell things. Aside, there are many probabilities other people buy the products since online stores sell cheaper than physical stores. In accordance with Lopol.org (Lopol.org, n.d.) areas like medicine, engineering, education, and more, improved a lot. Millions of lives are saved thanks to computers and the data it provides to get better the heath of people. Thanks to computers, disabled people can get help too and have more independence, and that’s something positive for society, alike Mitali (Mitali, 2022), who affirms that computers are getting the future opportunities of jobs and these would be harder to find, or if an adult person doesn’t know how to use a computer end up without getting a job and would be bad for them because everyone deserves to be integrated in society.
Computers are devices too important in our society and allow people do different kind of useful things. These have brought with them various positive advances for society; despite the disadvantages it will depend on the use that is given. It is for this reason that we must be aware that computers should be used for healthy purposes so as not to have negative consequences or create bad habits. It is elementary to know how computers work to have a better chance of getting a job. To conclude, it was possible to observe that each author presents a different position, which shows that everything excessively causes damage.
