Create by means of living cells a functional three- dimensional structure to provide a solution or replace the functions of a damaged organ or tissue for the person who has suffered an accident or has lost part of the body. despite being lifeless structures, whose complexity is much lower to that of any , the success of these operations has represented the achievement of an important milestone on the part towards the creations of organs

ACQUISITION

The acquisition of image is a very important step in the generation of three-dimensional objects, since the quality of the objects depends on the quality of the information that is counted or that is entered, this can be from a scanner or CT scan performed on the patient

POST PROCESSING

IMAGE

 (^) High performance workstations equipped with post processing tools will be used to work on previously generated images. The most common post processing tools in practice are segmentation, visualization, area / volume, maximum / minimum intensity projection and multiplane reformation tools. In addition, advanced post processing methods can be used for images with low resolution or not enhanced. All this is carried out by means of a computer-aided design program that allows you to trace the exact dimensions of the part that the patient requires. Finally, the information is sent to the 3D printer for its manufacture.

It´s cost is well below, the cost of a conventional prosthesis and allows to reduce expenses in the cases of growing children who need to change prostheses according to their growth, since the current cost of a robotic prosthesis created by 3D printer is 500, less than half the cost of a conventional prosthesis
