Parts of the chapter
Beginning
King Louis (Philippe) meets Aramis, Athos, Porthos and D'Artagnan; and
they celebrate Philippe's arrival on the throne. The king gives D'Artagnan
permission to marry Louise and asks the others what they are going to do
since his mission has been accomplished.
Middle
D'Artagnan proposes marriage to Louise and the King asks his wife, the
queen, to teach him to play Petanque. D'Artagnan and Athos take Louis to
St Marguerite with an iron mask, He claims that he is the King and is taken
for mad.
End
The new King reigned for forty-eight years and was loved by the people.
D'Artagnan became a master of the Musketeers and his friends followed his
paths.
Chapter review
What did you like the most from the chapter? The first ending is satisfying,
since they fought for change and made no mistake in their choices.
What did you like the least from the chapter? The second ending is very
tragic, although more realistic.
