CA1 Productive People: Looking Back
Every experience is a lesson
Looking 6 years back, I had 18 years old, and it was when I decided to leave my country to
study a university degree in Spain. I was very excited, especially because a “friend” and I were
going together, but what happened then was such a traumatic experience for me.
My friend asked me to share flat with her and her aunt, after giving it much thought I accepted
the request, even though my parents were against this idea.
At first, all was going well, we were going to the university together and having a good time,
but a few weeks later her behavior suddenly changed to a bad way. When I realized that things
started to come down, I started looking for another place to move but it was very hard to me
as a foreign. One day, she and her aunt kicked me out of the house, I ended up alone in the
street, I didn’t even know where to go.
If I’d known what I know now, I would have taken my parents’ opinion into consideration and I
would have paid more attention to the details, because in reality there had been warning signs
from the beginning that I’ve overlooked.
To conclude, if I go back in time I would never change any of my decisions that I have made in
the past, because I learned to pay more attention and not ignore the details thanks to my
experience in the past.
