Modern consumerism
First of all, consumerism is the situation in which too much attention is given on buying and
owning things. We all know that money is really important in our lives, we need money for our
resources that are vital in our days. Nowadays consumerism is increasing drastically. Some people
consume, exceeding their necessities, but they have their own reason to waste their money in that
bad way.
A percent of people tend to think that buying things for themselves is a reward for all the effort
that they have made in their lives at work to maintain their families. Or maybe they waste money
buying, just because they suppose happiness is on buying things for themselves, and in some cases
they think they are doing well on buying more than they are supposed to buy, because they
believe that buying will be useful for the country’s economy.
In conclusion We work for money, we strive to have a good life, but some people just think that
money is the way to be happy, because of that they can buy whatever they want. Personally,
that’s totally wrong, I think we can find happiness in our family, with people that we love, doing
things we like, and with friends. Not everything in life is money or buying.
