Steps of the scientific method.
1. Observation: Galvani observe that the leg of a dead frog twitched when touched by a
metal knife.
2. Question: Do the muscles of the frog contain electricity?
3. Hypothesis: Galvani hypothesized that the frog´s muscles were the source of
electricity.
4. Experimentation: Volta conducted experiments to test the influence of different
metals (the steel knife and the tin plate)
5. Analysis: Volta realized that moisture between the metals generated electricity.
6. Conclusion: Volta concluded thet it was not the frog´s muscles, but the interaction
between the metals and moisture thet created electricity.
7. Invention: Based on his findings, Volta invented the first electry batery, the voltaic
pile,using sheets of copper and zinc.
