What is a Buyer Persona?

A buyer persona is nothing more and nothing less than the representation of your ideal customer, a fictional but realistic example of the type of person buying, or the type of person that could buy your products or services. If, for example, you want to promote a hotel, you could create five segments of buyer personas : a person who travels on business, the person in charge of a travel agency, an event planner, a family that plans a vacation and a couple looking for a place for the wedding party. The buyer persona will help you adapt your marketing plan by creating the content appropriate to each profile: it is not only about transmitting the tone that users wait, but you also have to know how to find the place, the means and the right time to let you find yourself. Therefore, when preparing the profiles of your buyer persona , it is important to take the time to study the market and, whenever if possible, speak directly to real users. This way, you can understand how they prefer to be spoken to and whether it is better to write an article in your blog, put a PPC ad or create premium content like eBooks.
