Post task
“Classification of healthy or unhealthy foods” Description: In
this hands-on activity, students will classify foods based on
their nutritional value. They will receive a set of food pictures
or toy foods that represent both healthy and unhealthy
options (for example: fruits, vegetables, fast food, and
candy). Students will take turns choosing one food at a time
and deciding where it belongs: Healthy foods will be placed
on a plate or table, representing good food options.
Unhealthy foods will be thrown in the trash, symbolizing
foods we should eat less often. As they sort each item,
students will say short sentences in English, such as “This is
an apple. It’s healthy.” Or “This is candy. It’s not healthy.”
The teacher will encourage participation and correct
pronunciation, promoting active learning and awareness
about healthy food choices.
