X: Hi, Beatriz. I need your help.
I made a reservation for a formal dinner and I’m calling you to give me clothing advice for a
formal dinner, please.
Beatriz: Sure, no problem. I can help you with that. So, let’s see, when are you going to go
to the formal dinner?
X: I’m going to go to the formal dinner tomorrow at 7:30pm.
Beatriz: And are you going to wear something suitable clothing for the occasion?
X: Maybe, but what am I going to wear?
Beatriz: You should wear a formal suit to the formal dinner like an elegant suit, but you
shouldn’t wear baggy jeans or oversized shirts because they are too casual.
X: Why do you suggest that?
Beatriz: I suggested that because baggy jeans and casual clothes are very common.
X: It’s true that I like the casual style but it’s not the most suitable for dinner. And should I
bring something else?
Beatriz: I think you’d better wear a coat and carry an umbrella in case it rains. So, are you
going to arrive early?
X: Yes, I am. I was nervous but now I feel sure of myself and ready for the occasion.
Beatriz: You’re welcome and if there’s anything also I can do for you, just let me know.
X: Thanks for your recommendations, I'll keep them in mind.
