Colombia is considered one of the countries with the best gastronomy in Latin America, offering countless homemade dishes that vary according to the region, for this reason I had a question at the time of carrying out this project: Is the Colombian diet balanced enough? The objective of this project is to know more about my eating habits during a week, to achieve this I used a method which consisted of documenting in a table everything I ate throughout the day, which helps not only to be more aware of the food consumed, but also of the time in which it is consumed. DESCRIPTION.
It can be seen that there is no defined diet because almost every day the foods vary, but there are some few eating habits such as established times for each meal: breakfast 8 am, lunch 1 pm and dinner 7 pm, in addition, on Thursdays and Tuesdays I drank some coffee because I think that this drink can give me more energy in these two days that I consider more difficult because I am busier, the last habit I have is that at least five days a week I drink a cup of water before going to sleep because I think it can be healthy for me. It is also observed that a good number of fruits and vegetables are consumed because they are present in at least one meal per day, however, the consumption of fast food could be considered a bit high, which would affect my health. As I mentioned earlier, a lot of foods are also consumed very typical of the country, in my diet you can see some such as: Sancocho, bandeja paisa, ajiaco, arepa, tamales, coffee and typical juices. COMPARISON As for my partner's diet, there are several points in common, especially in breakfasts and lunches, which is when they have most of the nutritional groups in common, also at some mealtimes. What can be highlighted in his diet is the time between meals, and his day is complemented by both main dishes and small dishes between meals. What can be improved
This process of registering, describing, analyzing and evaluating my diet was a great help to be even more aware, because even though I was already quite careful about what I ate before, by doing this work I was able to make a greater reflection because the data recorded in the table had to go through a process in which one learns and questions more than that it is right and wrong in my diet, which made me feel good as I could confirm that I have a good diet but I was also interested all the time to get better in everything I can. In the end, this process did not greatly change my perception of my diet, as I had previously analyzed it, but it helped me to correct some mistakes such as replacing fast food with other healthier alternatives. Concluding that a good adaptation of the Colombian diet, can be healthy without leaving that delight that characterizes it.
