Meaning It’s an event that started in the past but continues today. It shows a sequence in the past. Use with verbs in the simple past. It emphasizes a present perfect activity. It emphasizes the object, not the person who did it. Rules Subject + have/has +verb in past participle + Complement. Subject: I, You, We, They. Ex. She has worked all night. Subject + had + verb in past participle + Complement Ex.
