sound*, belong, like, hate ,have*, remember , love, see*,think* ( thinking of/ thinking about),
guess, forget, hope, mean, prefer, dislike, miss, own, appear*, seem, cost, weigh*, measure*
smell- He is smelling the perfume. The perfume smells.
feel - She is feeling the baby's soft skin. He feels tired.
taste - She is tasting the cake. The cake tastes delicious.
sound - He is sounding the drums. You sound unhappy.
see - He is seeing the doctor this afternoon. I see him now.
think (= believe יתעדל) - I think he is an excellent pupil.
appear - She is appearing at a concert tonight. They appear responsible.
weigh - The greengrocer is weighing the tomatoes. He weighs 50 kilos.
measure - The carpenter is measuring the cupboard. The room measures 5 x 6m.
have I have a new dog. I am having a party tonight. I am having supper with my girlfriend.

3. Present Simple or Present Continuous?

  • TASTE This soup does not taste right. The waiter is tasting the wine for us now.
  • SMELL Have you left the oven on? I can smell something burning! Why are you smelling the meat? Do you think it's gone off?
  • SEE I can't see what is happening because there's someone standing in front of me. I can't come to the meeting because I'm seeing a client at 3 o'clock.
