Descripción Afecta Enfermedad Especies Especies (peces) Características Vacuna Vibriosis Bacillar Gram- organisms. Marine environments. Typical outbreaks in spring and fall. Marine fish. Usually affects small-size fish. Typical bacterial septicaemia in marina fish species. Also dermic infections. Vibrio (Listonella) anguillarum Eels, seabass, turbot, seabream External and internal haemorrhages are the main symptom. From peracute to subacute outbreaks. Vaccination bath and oral. Immunity: 6-12 months. Oral boosters. Vibrio alginolyticus Vibrio salmonicida Atlantic salmon Vibrio vulnificus Eel. Zoonosis Streptococcosis / Lactococcosis Gram+ organisms. Emerging diseases in several species. Anorexia, exophthalmia. Acute septicaemia with meningitis and acute enteritis as the most common findings. Lactococcus garviae Rainbow trout Important mortalities (<60%). May-October.

15ºC. Affects medium- large size fish (>60-100 g). Difficult treatment (anorexia, antibiotic- resistance). Vaccination IP oil- adjuvanted) Pasteurelosis Bacillar Gram- organisms. Marine environments. Affects most marine fish species: seabream, seabass, mullet. Acute form (few symptom) and chronic form (necrotic and granulomatous inflammation). Photobacterium damsela subs. piscicida = Pasteurella piscicida Vaccines are available. Photobacterium damsela = Vibrio damsela Aeromonosis & Pseudomonosis Bacillar Gram- organisms ,mainly from freshwater (Aeromonads), very ubiquitous. Acute forms (no symptoms or haemorrhages) or chronic forms: furuncles or dermal ulcers Aeromonas salmonicida (+imp) trout, mainly brown trout, salmon Forunculosis (ahora septicemia) Vaccines: furunculosis Aeromonas hydrophila (+com) Cyprinids and a large range of others species. Erithrodermatitis (red pest) Pseudomonas anguilliseptica: Pseudomonas fluorescens Yersiniosis Yersinia ruckeri (Enteric redmouth: ERM) Mainly in salmonids, but present in other species Septicemic infection, haemorrhages, carrier state Vaccine available, with good results BKD (Bacterial Kidney Disease) Short rods, gram- positive. Growth very slow and only in special media. Affects only salmonids (Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout) Chronic disease. Renibacterium salmoninarum Granulomatous lesions in kidney and spleen and extends to liver, heart and muscle.
