2. Detailed Description of the Learning Activity
Through this activity, the following learning outcome is expected to be
achieved:
Compose oral sentences and dialogues that describe travel experiences
and past situations, using appropriate grammar and vocabulary to
communicate ideas clearly and confidently in real-life contexts.
The activity consists of:
Reviewing the contents of modules 4,5 and 6, writing comparative
sentences, listening to a recording, practicing speaking, and making and
sending a video and a self-assessment.

Detailed Description of the Learning Activity Through this activity, the following learning outcome is expected to be achieved : Compose oral sentences and dialogues that describe travel experiences and past situations, using appropriate grammar and vocabulary to communicate ideas clearly and confidently in real-life contexts. Go to Learning and Evaluation environment → Contents and

Bibliographical References → English E-book Level B1. Study the content

of modules 4,5 & 6 and do all the activities in those modules. 1.1. Go to your eBook, module 6 and do activity 16. CULTURE PAGE 1.2. After studying that content, write 5 sentences about popular destinations or activities in your town. Use comparatives, superlatives, and gerunds. Examples:

  • Riding a horse in the Llanos is more exciting than hiking in the nearby mountains.
  • Watching the sunset from a high viewpoint is the most peaceful thing you can do there. 1.3. Share your sentences in the forum. Step 2. LISTENING COMPREHENSION Discovering Villavicencio 2.1. Watch the following video: https://youtu.be/19-HfqUL_gE 2.2. Answer the questions below using the present perfect, comparative and superlative adjectives. A. Why might Bioparque Los Ocarros be better for families with children than the Mirador La Piedra del Amor? Give your answer based on the video's information and your opinion.

OPTION B

Synchronous meeting with your tutor Please take into account that you should choose this option only in case you can’t attend any of available practical workshops in option A. This option consists of a synchronous meeting with your tutor and probably other classmates, to put into practice your speaking competence. a. Contact your tutor well in advance to agree on a schedule for the synchronous meeting. Meetings will not be scheduled during the last week of the activity. b. Choose one of the sections from your blog in task 2 and prepare a presentation with slides for your tutor and classmates. c. Practice for your presentation before the meeting, as your performance (pronunciation, fluency, grammar use) will be scored. d. Take a screenshot of your meeting with the tutor and put it in the final document. Step 4. RECORD A VIDEO TO SHOWCASE YOUR TOWN 4.1. Record a video based on one of the sections you developed in your blog from Task 2. You can use your own blog as support for your presentation in your video.

You must give at least four recommendations using modal verbs: You have to explore La Candelaria, Bogota’s historic colonial district, you must familiarize yourself with its architecture and history. You should also consider staying in the area to experience its unique atmosphere. For safe transportation, you must take taxis instead of public buses in La Candelaria. You might want to plan your visits to museums and other attractions in advance. (Use modal verbs) Note: You are required to complete the table using your own information, following the given model. For your video presentation, please keep the following in mind: ● Choose only one of the sections of your blog and explain why you chose to present it in your video. ● Include more pictures related to the information you are presenting.

Upload the document individually to the Learning and Evaluation environment, Intermediate moment. Remember that the product of this task must comply with the APA standards. Use the template Annex 2 to organize your work.

3. Guidelines for Developing and Submitting Learning Evidence Learning evidence refers to the actions, products, or observable processes that are done or delivered to demonstrate acquired capabilities, skills, and attitudes. These serve to allow the teacher to assess and evaluate student performance effectively. The evidence of individual work to be presented is a PDF document with the following: ● A cover. ● Step 1: Sentences using comparatives, superlatives, gerunds and infinitives about tourist destinations in your town. ● Step 2: Answers to the questions about the video Discovering Villavicencio.

Step 3: The evidence of attendance at three (3) practical workshops (STT). ● Step 4: The link to the video you recorded. ● Step 5 : The completed self-assessment questionnaire included in Annex 2. The evidence of collaborative work is: Your participation in the forum including the following: the comparative sentences from point 1.2, the answer to question B from point 2.2, and the video link from step 4. Meaningful comments on your peers' posts For developing and submitting evidence, please consider the following guidelines:

  1. All group members must participate with their contributions in the development of the activity.
  2. Each group should designate one member to be responsible for submitting the requested product in the environment specified by the teacher.
  3. Before submitting the requested product, the group should check that it complies with all the requirements indicated in this activity guide.
  4. Only group members who have actively contributed during the allocated time for the activity should be included as authors of the requested product. Please note that all individual or group written products must comply with “spelling and mechanics” standards and the submission conditions defined in this activity guide. Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must comply with the standards of Choose an option.
