This work has been carried out with the purpose of transmitting to millions of readers the benefits of responsible consumption and also on the other hand the causes and consequences if consumerism irresponsibly since it affects the Earth environmentally, economically and socially.

INTRODUCTION

Our consumerist culture supports and justifies in good part our current model of society. Thus, in this social model it is considered that a greater supply of consumer goods made available to the public is essential to achieve greater well-being, and that a higher level of consumption reports, in turn, a higher degree of happiness individual and collective The condition that seems necessary to meet our huge consumption needs is economic growth. CONCEPT: It is a concept that defends that human beings must change their Consumption habits by adjusting them to their real

needs and those of the planet, and choosing options that favor the environment and social equality. WHAT IS BEING A RESPONSIBLE CONSUMER? A conscious and responsible consumption, oriented to the promotion of activities satisfactory to nature and people is a great contribution and a decisive instrument of pressure against the market. ECOLOGICAL CONSUMPTION? It includes the three erres of the environmental movement: reduce, reuse and recycle, also those essential elements such as ecological agriculture and livestock, among other forms of production; since the valuable and simple peasant model based on a diversified production without damaging the ecosystem has been destroyed. With industrial development, human populations are concentrated in large cities where the relationship with the physical environment and natural resources is lost. SOLIDARITY CONSUMPTION? Boosts fair trade, considers the working conditions in which a product has been produced. By practicing solidarity consumption we are respectful of people and the environment. It should be kept in mind, only consume what is necessary, because the compulsive consumption of resources is the main cause of environmental degradation. Types of responsible behavior of consumers: Positive purchase? They decide to buy certain goods and services according to social considerations.
