1. How does Simon try to persuade the audience that kids need recess?
I have chosen to persuade the audience that kids need to relapse by using an argumentative text. I've
had scientific facts and facts come from studies.
2. What is the purpose of Simon's speech?
The purpose of Simon’s speech is to convince the audience that kids should have one-hour recesses.
Giving scientific details makes him look more reliable and makes the audience believe what they’re
hearing.
3. How would you create an argument against Simon?
If I had to create an argument against Simon I’d say that making one-hour recesses wouldn’t be
compatible with the required hours’ students have to be at school. It would probably make some
subjects disappear or it wouldn’t be possible to make as many lessons as needed.
