Lucía Miriam González Meyer EVAU-GHOST ORCHID Write about 150 to 200 words on the following topic. What are the advantages and disadvantages of countryside living? Living in the countryside comes with both advantages and disadvantages. If you're thinking about moving to the countryside you must take in consideration the pros and cons. Firstly, one of the advantages of the countryside is that there is less pollution. There are definitely fewer cars in the countryside than in the city, therefore the air is cleaner. Another plus of living in the countryside is that it is cheaper than living in a big city, you can find a lot of land and a big house for an inexpensive and affordable price. Also, if you like hiking and going on adventures, the countryside is the place for you. You have easier access to these type of activities as you are closer to nature. On the other hand, cities have more job opportunities than rural locations and if you’re looking to start a family, you will have many more schools to choose from in the city. Furthermore, cities have unlimited services (internet connection, takeout, malls), whereas in the countryside going out to a restaurant or shopping can take you long hours of driving. To conclude, the countryside is more relaxed and for people that are into nature whilst people who are more dynamic and work orientated should stay in the city.
