Yes or no to smoking in parks and other public areas
Nowadays, people know for a fact that smoking not only has negatives effects on
themselves but also on the ones that surround them.
On th e on e hand, if one decides to smoke inside his house, it is a choice that only involves
him and his own health. But when someone lights a cigarette in a public area, he is also
attempting against citizen s health.
On the other hand, our cities are full of cigarett e butts. Smokers should respect the
cleanliness. Otherwise, it mig ht be a good idea to forb id the act of smoking in these areas.
All in all, people have th e right to decide what to do in their daily life, but what they
cannot do is to disturb the re st of the inhabitants. A s it is widely known: “Y our freedom
ends where mine begins”.
(My essay is 136 words, but with the title there are 147 words)
