FRIENDSHIP FORMED OVER THE INTERNET ARE AS STRONG AS ONES FORMED IN PERSON
I’ve always been a very sociable person both in person and online.
We all know that the Internet can be very dangerous and there can also be bad people, but thanks to
technology you can meet many nice people,especially from other cultures and countries and I think
that this is very useful in today’s society: exchange ideas and acceptance with each other.
Long-distance friendship can also test our confidence and our determination to continue that
friendship and to make it last.
My experience of distance friendship is positive and continues to be.
I found many friends with my own interests, for example I met some girls in a group about David
Bowie and one of these is currently a very important friend.
I agree that online friendships are as strong as those in person, in fact, many times they are even
more solid, because sometimes we don’t appreciate the moments when we are with our friends
because we know that we have them close to us.
Bowie said in 1999 that technology would become essential in our lives, and so it was: he talked to
fans from his computer, and I think this is a beautiful thing: this is also a kind of long-distance
friendship.
