Fist of all, this system is spreading not only in Italian companies but also all over the world
above all in this dramatic period of covid-19.
How does the smart working work?
All you need is an internet connection and a computer, with these two elements, we can
work from home quickly and easily, sparing time spent in the traffic, consequently
economizing and protecting enviroment.
It is an efficient innovation that allows millions of people to work connecting each other in
different countries, even in case of illness.
Moreover it is demostrated in the north European countries, where this method of working
has already been developped for several years, that it improves social and private life with
a significant enrichment of the quality of work performances.
On the other hand, Smart working may have also disadvantages like isolation, loneliness,
lack of separation between work and home environment, a reduced direct contact with
customers, low interaction with Work Team and there is growth of distraction and difficulty
in planning activities.
During this period of corona virus pandemic, this revolutionary system has been
introduced even in the study system, schools, univerities, etc to face the lock down
emergency .It’s very interesting how all generations are responding with enthusiasm to this
innovation, from the younger generation to the older one.
As we know, our future more and more marked by technological progress which will be an
opportunity for us all to rethink the work we do and the way we do it. Besides this will
change inevitably our culture that will have to be consider “technology. Our skill will be
then to manage it humanly.
