Is a general of army, he really existed in the 10th century and came after Duncan. Duncan was murdered mysteriously, nobody knew he killed him for many years and then there was Macbeth who magically becomes king. Shakespeare turned the event into dialogue/story. All the stories he takes are either taken from reality or from history. Macbeth is then discovered:
