The experience of hospitality students serving food during the cithm dedication and recognition ceremony at lpu gymnasium. The students, led by cedrick garcia, worked in teams to serve dinner to guests and clean up afterwards. This event provided an opportunity for students to develop their food serving skills and gain experience in the hospitality industry.

In the hospitality industry, one vital factor of an excellent hotelier is the skills in
food serving. Food service is the provision, serving, or preparation of food; the industry
concerned with this. As a hospitality student, acquiring the abilities on how to properly
serve food and beverage should be one of the talents that I am expert of.
Last June 06, 2018, the College of International Tourism and Hospitality
Management Dedication and Recognition Ceremony was held at LPU Gymnasium.
Aside from being the facilitators, hosts and overall in charge for the said ceremony,
selected officers of CITHM Student Council served food for the graduating students of
this year. Cedrick Garcia, Chairman of Community Extension, headed the set up for the
event and the food serving proper. There were also other students from different
organizations such as AFCL, LCC etc. Teamwork and proper coordination are the key
in able for the young food servers to come up with a successful outcome.
Guests started to have their dinner at exactly 7:30 PM after the Sablay
Ceremony. The team was divided into 3 groups, for the buffet area, buss out team and
runners if necessary things are needed. It was the last part of the Recognition
Ceremony and it ended at 9 PM. Food Servers also cleaned up the whole area for the
next event in the morning. For them, this was a very good platform to exercise and
perform their skills as preparation for the near future.
It was a great experience especially at a young age wherein we are exposed to this kind
of event. This activity helps us to develop skills and refresh our minds in the career that
we all decided to enter. Someday, I am very sure that we will be able to use this
experience in our careers
