Every artist, and even ordinary people like me, possess different perceptions of art.
Some might view it on a surface level, by something simply pleasing to the eyes,
while others may see it as an expression of unspoken thoughts. But in my own
perspective, art is something without limits, a reflection of our lives and the world
around us.
First and foremost, art, for me, represents our world. As seen in my work, the image
framed at the center symbolizes my own understanding of art. Art is a reproduction
of God’s wonderful creation. Iconic paintings from the past, such as
Impression,
Sunrise
by Claude Monet and
The Scream
by Edvard Munch, would not have come
into existence without the inspiring environment that surrounds us. The green
sceneries, deep blue oceans, towering brown mountains, and most especially, us,
humans — all of these, when captured in artworks, mirror the beauty of our world.
They echo the brilliance of His creation. And despite the harsh realities we and the
Earth face today, by looking at artworks that honor nature, we are reminded that
there is still hope to restore the original beauty of what was given to us.
Furthermore, creating art is, for me, the freedom to go beyond boundaries. In my
artwork, the figure passing through a passage represents that art can serve as an
escape. Even though I do not consider myself an artist, I believe that through art, we
can be limitless. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, art allows you to surpass
reality and explore the depths of imagination. It is not only a reflection of the world
but also a window into something greater. Works like
Celestial Pablum
by Remedios
Varo,
Souvenir from Havre
by Pablo Picasso, and
Geopoliticus Child Watching the
Birth of the New Man
by Salvador Dalí are perfect examples of how art can go
beyond what is real and touch the extraordinary, showing how boundless human
creativity can be.
Art, has complex meanings. But for me, is both a mirror and a door, a mirror that
reflects the truth and beauty of our world, and a door that opens to endless
imagination. It allows us to see, feel, and express what words often fail to capture.
Art is not confined by skill or perfection, but by the courage to express one’s
thoughts and emotions freely. Through art, we are able to rediscover the beauty of
our surroundings and the infinite possibilities within ourselves.
