Peripheral venous disorders are problems with veins that interfere with adequate return of blood flow from the
extremities
Thrombophlebitis refers to a thrombus that is associated with inflammation
-Place patient in suppine position
-Apply interrmittent or continuous or
continuous warm moist conmpresses as
prescribed
-Apply occlusive hydrocolloid dressings on
ulcers
-Change dressing every 3 to seven days
Intracerebral bleeding
Venous Stasis ulcers
Patient who suffers from neuropathy might
not feel as much discomfort from the ulcer as
appearance
Instruct patient to consume a diet that is high
in zinc, protein, iron, and Vitamins A and C
-Educate on the application and use of
compression stockings
-Instruct client to use electric razor over
bladded razor
-D-dimer
-Venous duplex ultrasonography
-doppler flow study
-impedence plethysmography
-
-Calf or groin pain
-Some patients can be asymptomtic
-Warmth
-Edema
-Changes in circumference of right and left
calf and thight over time- Localized edema
over the affected area
