CHAPTER 3 – METHODOLOGY RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
SOFTWARE DESIGN, PRODUCTS AND/OR PROCESSES
The system aimed to design a web page that enhances barangay services through
online website. Developing a website that will enable the residents to log in and register
and after that through online they can also file a complaint or make a request of barangay
clearance, barangay indigency, barangay residency, barangay certificate.
The researchers used the Qualitative and Quantitative method for this system. The
researchers intend to enhance the barangay service procedure so that residents of the
barangay may quickly submit a request or file a complaint. As a remedy, the researchers
create an official website so they don't have to personally visit the barangay.

In this phase, the researcher conducted an on-site visit to the target community to
discuss the needed requirements for the project, a formal written consent was sent one
(1) week before the scheduled visit. The Barangay Marulas in Valenzuela City has the
largest population count among the 33 barangays in the City. This was the reason why
the researcher chose this community as the target barangay for the system development.
