One way that Barcelona’s management approach is consistent with modern developments in management thinking is by seeking input from the people down. Basically, Barcelona managers do not demand and bark orders to their employees but instead allows them to contribute in decision-making. The lower staff do not just do what the management says, but instead they are given a chance to contribute. Another way that Barcelona’s management is using modern management thinking is by allowing innovation on the part of the employees. The managers give the employees the freedom and control that they require to make sound decisions. Ideally, employees are allowed to be innovative and come up with their own ways of pleasing the customers they are dealing with and not always seeking the input or opinion of the managers. The managers have allowed the employees to think for themselves and not always depending on management to show direction. Basically, the management at Barcelona do not micromanage employees behavior but instead allow them to come up with their own ideas and opinions. The employees are trusted to make the right choices when they are interacting with customers. The traditional management thinking focused on having the managers dictate what the employees needs to do and at what time. However, in the modern management thinking, Barcelona’s management allows the employees to innovate and come up with their own ideas on how to best serve the customers. The employees work independently and innovate ideas that they fell would best ensure customer satisfaction. This shows a modern style of management thinking that gives employees power to steer the company to the right direction.Next, Barcelona approach by undergoing recruitment planning which is to attract potential candidates from a pool of candidates. The first and foremost process of recruitment plan is to indentify the vacancy. Consists of number of posts to be filled, Number of positions, Duties and responsibilities to be performed and the qualification and experienced required. In the Barcelona Restaurant Group, they have different cultures which is good so that they can integrate the pattern of human knowledge, belief and also their behavior. Different cultures makes the company unique in a certain way.
