What's the difference between regular tint and henna tint for brows?
- Regular eyebrow tint will only tint the hairs and lasts anywhere from 2-4 weeks.
Henna brows produce longer lasting results. Lasting up to 6 weeks on the hairs,
it also tints the skin for up to 10 days-14 days.
What is Henna?
- Henna is a dye prepared from the plant Lawsonia inermis. The plant grows in the
tropical climates of Africa, northern Australia, and southern Asia. Henna has
been used for body art for thousands of years. The people of ancient Egypt and
India used this form of temporary tattoo for religious ceremonies, weddings, and
festivals.
What are the BENEFITS of Henna?
- Henna Brow treatments are a more natural method of achieving a fuller and
defined brow.
- It uses plant-based ingredients (natural vegan product) that offer a safe and
gentle dying process.
- Unlike current eyebrow tints, Henna does not require a developing agent,
eliminating your exposure to chemicals that may cause irritation to the skin

What will cause the Henna tint to fade quicker?

  • The oiler your skin, the less the skin stain will last
  • The more you touch and clean your brow hairs, the quicker it will fade. You still will need to clean around your brows. However, the more you can leave them alone and not touch them, the longer the skin stain/tint will last.
  • Henna will not last as long with any skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis.
  • Use of oil-based makeup remover over the area (should be avoided regardless)
  • Exposure to the sun/UV lights for long periods
  • Product’s containing AHA’s, retinol over the area (should be avoided regardless)

What if I have very little brow hair?

  • For best results, the more brow hair the better. People with very little brow hair would not see as long-lasting results and results may not be as natural looking. A more permanent makeup brow procedure maybe needed.

Who should NOT get Henna?

Anyone that has ….

  • Fresh cuts/Abrasions around the eye area
  • Scar tissue around the eyebrows from surgeries or piercings (UNLESS these are 2 years of more older)
  • Bruising/Swelling present
  • Sunburn present on face
  • Cysts, Lumps, or Bumps present
  • Hypersensitive skin
  • Blepharitis (lash or brow dandruff)
  • Conjunctivitis present
  • A Stye present
  • Pink eye present
  • Skin conditions that require physician’s care. Any active skin disease/condition on the face (dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, severe acne in the brow area, actinic keratosis, rosacea, contact dermatitis, shingles, etc.) OR any other skin conditions that are not listed.
  • Glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PD). This is a genetic abnormality that causes red blood cells to break down quicker than the body can regenerate them. If you have this, the application of henna could cause hemolysis.

What is the AFTERCARE?

  • Avoid touching or rubbing your brows
  • Avoid heated treatments/environment for 24 hours e.g. saunas, sunbeds, steam rooms, hot yoga etc.
  • Do not apply brow makeup for at least 24 hours after your treatment
  • Avoid swimming for at least 24 hours after your treatment
  • Avoid perfume/scented products to the area for at least 24 hours after your treatment
  • Avoid oil-based makeup remover as it can cause irritation to the area and cause the Henna to fade quicker
  • Avoid exposure to the sun/UV lights for long periods
  • Avoid tanning applications for 48 hours
  • Avoid product’s containing AHA’s and retinol as it can cause irritation to the area and cause the Henna to fade quicker
  • Avoid pulling tight fitting clothing over the head for 24 hours
  • Maintaining regular touch ups every 2-6 weeks can achieve longer lasting tinting results each subsequent treatment. Therefore, the number of touch ups may reduce over a period of time.
