The Retouching Tools The retouching tools are the next group of tools after the selection tools. These tools can help you remove imperfections to improve your images or add effects. The Retouching Tools RETOUCHING TOOLS NAME FUNCTION Spot Healing Brush Tool Removes blemishes from objects Paint Tool Paints brush strokes Stamp Tool Clones an area of the image that is selected to be stamped History Brush Tool Paints a copy of the selected state into the current image window Erase Tool Erase pixels Gradient Tool Applies and colors gradients to an image or object Blur Tool Blurs hard edges in images Dodge Tool Lightens areas in images KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS To activate the tool using the keyboard, press the following keys: J – Spot Healing Brush Tool B – Brush Tool S – Stamp Tool Y – History Brush Tool E – History Brush Tool G – Gradient Tool O – Dodge Tool The Drawing and Type Tools The drawing and type tools are the next group of tools following the retouching tools. They allow you to create images from shapes and text and can be inserted in the images that you prefer.
