It is “frozen” in time and content. It is the most formal communicative style that is usually used during respectful events and ceremonies. It also used

when one shows hesitation, disinterest, or prejudice. Frozen speech is used generally in a very formal setting and does not require any feedback from the audience. EXPLANATION: The employment of this formal communication style is typically reserved for solemn occasions and rituals. Additionally, it is used to express doubt, boredom, or prejudice. As it doesn't involve audience participation, frozen speech is typically utilized in extremely formal settings. In respectable contexts, it is the most formal manner of communication. In print media, rules, or declamation, the frozen style of speech is frequently utilized. As it primarily focuses on the use of words, the speech is carefully planned and verbalized. It's crucial to use exact language and make thoughtful word choices because this style inhibits listener feedback or requests for clarification. What is Formal Speech Style? FOR PPT: Formal style is a general phrase used in composition to refer to speech or writing that uses language in an impersonal, objective, and exact manner. Orations, scholarly books and articles, technical reports, research papers, and legal documents all frequently adopt a formal literary style. EXPLANATION: Speeches made in a formal setting are simple. The speaker refrains from utilizing slang terms in this speaking style; instead, what the speaker says is something that has been planned in advance. Its complex sentences and noun phrases are rationally organized, well-structured, and very cohesive. Formal speech is one-way communication in which the speaker only relays information to the listener. The formal speech pattern frequently discourages engagement from the audience and contact between communicators. Formal, educational discourse is often used in public speaking. This kind of communication is frequently used when the speaker is unsure whether they will get a positive response. For instance, if you are borrowing money from someone you are not close with, instead of saying, “Can I borrow some money,” you may say, “Money is tight these days. Could you perhaps lend me some money?” Instead of saying, “I don’t understand the lesson,” one may say, “It is difficult to understand the lesson.” Since the speaker is somehow detached from the message, it attempts to avoid awkward or embarrassing situations. Intro (Examples of Frozen and Formal): The discussion of each speech style's definition is now complete. Let's move on to the scenarios that illustrates each speech style.
