Hi Elizabeth,
I agree with most of your points. Especially when you are saying that collaborative
learning will make us better in the outside world. I feel you mean that makes us
less egoistic towards others and makes us listen more to what people have to say,
and as you mention "accept criticism". I couldn't agree more. Glad to have you in
my team!

Collaborative, as is dene by the (English Wiktionary Dictionary) means, "To work together with others to achieve a common goal". With this denition, I see many benets when it comes to collaborative learning. Let me list few:

/

1. Collaborative learning strengthens the mind of others. There are times as an individual certain task creates fear in the mind, but working along with others to see the success of that task, will help to clear your mind of that fear. 2. It encourages /motivates: When ever you are part of a solution regarding a giving assignment, that urge will always be there wanting to do more. 3. It releases one from stress: Stress often come about with the mind set of I can do it alone. In a group of collaboration, the giving assignment is discuss, ideas will be share because everyone focus is on the same thing. 4. An individual always learn new things in the collaborative environment: No one that is part of this environment don't learn something new every time, if it is a word, a sentence, or an idea, something has to be learn.

This collaborative learning in the University of the Peopleis done through peer-to- peer ass

I liked how you cited the benets of collaborative learning. They were all clear, and i agree with you on all these points. but i would ask you what behaviors the person should have to successfully work into a group?
