EPIC Programs and Modules
Epic Radar - correct answer Radar, formerly known as My Epic, provides a
centralized location for important reporting tools and metrics inside Hyperspace.
Using home workspaces called dashboards, Radar users from a variety of different
applications can view, access, and manipulate reports. From these dashboards, they
can jump to common Hyperspace activities or edit a Reporting Workbench report.
Epic Haiku/Canto - correct answer Allows physicians to access patient information
when they are away from Hyperspace. This is the handheld option for chart access
on the iPad device and allows the physician to view lab results, care team, allergies
and more just as the handheld devices do with Haiku.
Epic Care Everywhere - correct answer Provides a means for electronic exchange of
health information. This is a service provided for patients who may receive care at
more than one health care organization using the same electronic health record
software.
GE Centricity PACS (CPACS) - correct answer This system is used within Radiology
by technologists and radiologists to view and provide reports on DICOM imaging
exams. Technologists must do quality assurance (QA) within PACS to ensure patient
images are matched to exams prior to being interpreted by the radiologist. The
radiologist views images from high end workstations with Barco monitors calibrated
to diagnostic quality and dictates the report from software integrated on the
workstations with the CPACS software. This system includes WebDx which is web-
based software for radiologists to view images remotely.
Phillips Intellispace (iSite) - correct answer Web DICOM image viewing system which
displays a timeline of images from multiple areas that have been sent to the
enterprise archive after being matched to an Epic order; i.e. Cardiology, Radiology,
Maternal Fetal Medicine for a specific patient. An image link appears within Epic for
the images with the result to meet Meaningful Use requirements. Additionally this
system provides mobility image viewing on any platform for cardiologists to review
images while offsite.
Clinical Data Repository (MyUTMB) - correct answer The results of laboratory tests,
radiology exams, and other procedures are available for review
