Hedging Languages:
1. used to limit or qualify claims or
statements.
2. used to describe Opportunities since
these are all future possibilities and,
therefore, uncertain.
3. Example of Hedging Language:
- Refer Table 3.2
4. Example sentence:
-It is assumed that playing violent video
games may cause more aggression,
bullying and fighting.
-It could be the case that one key factor
of divorce is gender hierarchy and gender
inequality.
The Conditional
1. The Conditional structures use the
words such as :
- if - unless - provided that - as long as
2. The clauses present a situation which
will develop if the condition is put into
practice.
3. Structure:
condition clause + a result clause
where the First conditional expresses
something which will very likely come to

4. Example sentence:
- You will face liquidity problems unless
you secure a loan.
- We will be meet that demand as long
as there are no holdups in supplies.
