IS TECHNOLOGY BOON OR BANE?
In this present time, we all know how technology development is growing and affect our
daily basis. It helps us a lot especially when pandemic occurs because we were able to
communicate with someone who is miles away from us and it also makes our life easier. Now
let's talk about the impact of technology in educational system, we all know that there will
always be a big question. Is it beneficial or harmful?
As a student I can say that technology is very useful particularly dealing with the new
learning environment. It provides quick access to the details rapid learning, and entertaining
opportunities to put what we've learned into practice. It allows us to engage about new topics and
gain a better comprehension of tough concepts. There were instances that students don't
understand the specific lesson and we find ways on how to work on it, by simply watching some
videos or getting ideas from the internet. This is not only beneficial through all the students, but
it also helps the educators to improve their teaching strategies in the virtual classroom so that
they will be able to get the attention of the learners. Think of how the teaching and learning have
become more novel, stimulating, exciting, fresh, and engaging with the use multimedia in the
classroom.
Technology has an important role in improving the teaching-learning process and
humanizing life. It is a boon, but when it is not used appropriately, it becomes a hindrance to
education and human growth. As a result, there should always be a limit to the use of technology
to avoid becoming a hindrance. One must also understand that technology exists solely to
provide direction; it is up to humans to learn how to govern their use of it in their daily life.
