Introduction

In Learner-Centered Teaching, students are expected to:

*gain independence

*be responsible

*express themselves

*articulate their individual roles

*work all the time

*work at their own pace

*drive the lesson

Commonly, these students engage in activities centered around writing, talking, problem- solving, or reflecting.

Morrison (2010) " students choose what they will learn, how they will learn, and how they will assess their own learning. " Learners are autonomous for learning, which means, learners are given more freedom to learn based on their own styles.

Monitor their own learning Students who can plan, monitor, and evualuate their own learning are more metacognitively aware and more successful learners. The metacognitive cycle and exam wrappers are evidence- informed startegies

This is an educational approach that involves students working together to solve a problem, complete a task, & create a product Cooperation is also present in this approach. Learners are: challenged both socially and emotionally able to converse with their peers
