Geometry Welcoming Project
Creative Poster Activity
Mr. Bilal Halabi
Purpose: We are starting the school year with a creative project to welcome you to Ge-
ometry! This activity will help you become familiar with the tools we use in Geometry and
give you a chance to express your creativity.
Project Timeline: This project will be completed during class time only from:
Sunday, August 31, 2025
through Wednesday, September 3, 2025
Project Task: Create a poster that showcases the tools of Geometry in a fun, creative,
and original way. Examples of tools: ruler, protractor, compass, set square, graph paper,
calculator, etc. You may also include symbols and key ideas that represent Geometry.
Materials Provided:
Poster paper
Markers, colored pencils, and other drawing materials
Rulers, compasses, and protractors
Procedure:
1. Brainstorm different ways to represent Geometry tools on your poster.
2. Use creativity—add colors, designs, and arrangements that catch attention.
3. Make sure the poster is neat, clear, and easy to understand.
4. Each tool should be shown with its name and purpose.
5. Work carefully during the given class time. This is an in-class project only.
Project Expectations: Your poster should:
Include at least 5 different Geometry tools.
Be creative and visually appealing.
Be neat, organized, and easy to read.
Reflect your effort and originality.

Submission and Display: At the end of class on Wednesday, September 3, you will submit your completed poster. Selected posters will be displayed in the classroom as part of our Geometry Welcome Wall.

Note: This is not only about drawing—it is about showing your creativity, teamwork (if allowed), and pride in starting Geometry this year!
