WHY FACE-TO-FACE CLASS IS BETTER
I believe that face-to-face learning is much better than online or distance learning
because not all students are blessed with high-tech gadgets, personal computer and
WI-FI. Most of the students and also instructors have limited resources or
instruments and some are just using mobile data to connect and I am one of that.
Apart from that, as we all noticed the internet connection of the Philippines is
unpredictable and very slow. To those who are using mobile data have you
experienced this, while you are in the middle of your Zoom meeting suddenly you’ve
run out of data and you have to rush in the store for you to buy load but unfortunately
as the data back the meeting has already ended, and it is very distracting and
disappointed at the same time. That’s why I prefer the traditional learning because
students can be more focus during lecture periods and ask questions on the spot in
real time.
Face to face class is more productive and the students have used to it for the past
years, and it’s hard to adapt the new system and to be flexible to our new resources.
As I have experienced right now in this new system of education which is the online
class or the distance learning, is that our class time or schedule has been 24 hours
because from time to time there are activities to do and deadlines to meet and also
with the flexibility of the time, students can become lazy because we are just in our
comfortable place and you can just lay on your bed anytime. On the other hand,
distance learning are become a harmful advantage to some of the students because
we become dependent on all the materials and answers that can be found online and
it is easier for you to pass because no one is watching you but we have to admit that
we get less learning. Reality in this time, our goal is just to meet deadline and to
pass the activities and exams without knowing that we absorb less learning and
understanding to that certain lesson. I believe that our knowledge is more important
especially in our course for us to apply it in our future job.
