Hi, I'm Roselyn Mae R. Besa. I am 18 years old. I can speak four

languages; Tagalog, English, Korean and Japanese. My first language or my mother

tongue is Tagalog. I acquire the Tagalog language because when I was born we

were already here in manila. When I was young, I was exposed to Tagalog language

because everyone around me speaks Tagalog. My parents also taught me the

Tagalog Language even though they grew up in different languages. Skills that I can

perform using my first language are speaking and listening to the people who talked

to me using tagalog. I can also perform my skills by reading and writing using

tagalog. I can easily communicate with people around me.

My second languages are English, Korean, and Japanese. I learned English

and Japanese Language because it was taught in our school. When I was young, I

didn’t really like the English language but I realized that it was important to learn.

When it comes to the Japanese language, I like it because it's easy to understand

their alphabet. I learned the Korean Language by watching kdramas. My skills in a

second language are just the same as my first language skills but my second

language skills are sharpened because it improves my listening and speaking skills.

It also boosted my memory. And I also had more interactions with different people

with different cultures and traditions. I enjoy learning new languages because I want

to learn more languages and I also want to know their histories and their culture as

well. I can confidently talk to someone when I speak Tagalog. When it comes to

Tagalog language, I really like it when I talked Tagalog because I can express myself

better in Tagalog. My language weakness is that I'm not confident when I speak

English Language because I'm not that good enough at speaking English. My

favorite language is English because the English Language is a universal language. I

can communicate and interact with other people who can't speak in Tagalog.
