My Aim in Life
Every person in this world has some aim or ambition in life. An aimless person is like a ship without a
captain. It wanders in the sea and never reaches its destination. Similarly, a man without an aim cannot
succeed in life. I am a student of 1st Year and I also have a clear aim in my life.
My aim in life is to become a teacher. Teaching is a noble profession. A teacher is a builder of the nation.
He builds the character of his students and makes them citizens. Our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) was also a
great teacher. He taught us the lesson of truth, honesty, and humanity. I want to follow his footsteps.
There are many reasons why I want to become a teacher. First, I have great respect for my teachers.
They work very hard for our success. They are not greedy for money. Their only mission is to spread
knowledge. Second, I love to help other students. When my classmates ask me to explain a difficult topic,
I feel very happy. I explain it in a simple way and they understand it easily. This gives me inner
satisfaction.
Third, our country Pakistan needs good and honest teachers. Many schools in villages have no teachers.
The students there are very intelligent but they cannot study due to lack of guidance. I want to go to
those villages after completing my education and teach the poor students for free. This will be my
service to my nation.
Some people want to become doctors or engineers because these professions have a lot of money. But I
believe that money is not everything. Respect and inner peace are more important. A teacher may not
be very rich, but he is respected by everyone. Even a rich doctor or engineer touches the feet of his
teacher.
To achieve my aim, I am working very hard. I study my books daily and also read other knowledgeable
books. I try to improve my communication skills. I listen to my teachers carefully and note their teaching
methods. After completing my F.A, I will do B.A and then B.Ed. Then I will do M.A in English. After
completing my education, I will join a good school as a teacher.
