CBSE BOARD EXAM NEW FORMAT
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has changed the exam pattern of Class 10
and 12. According to the latest update on the revised CBSE Exam Pattern, two board exams or
term-end
exams will be conducted for the 2022 batch. And each board exam or term exam will have 50
per cent of the syllabus. Based on the new CBSE Internal Assessment Pattern, the syllabus for
the academic session 2021-22 will be divided into 2 terms.
The revised syllabus will be divided systematically based on the interconnectivity of concepts
and topics. As per the CBSE exam pattern 2021-22, the Term I Exam will be conducted in
November or December. The exam will be conducted for 90 minutes, and questions will be of
Multiple Choice based on assertion-reasoning. CBSE Term Il exam will be conducted in March
or April based on the rationalised syllabus of Term II only i.e. Approximately 50% of the entire
syllabus).
Based on the revised CBSE exam pattern, the paper will be of 2 hours duration
and have questions of different formats like case based/ situation based, open-ended- short
answer/long answer type Candidates will be assessed throughout the year irrespective of Term
1 and 2 as per the revised CBSE internal assessment pattern 2021-22.

  1. The Question Paper contains THREE sections.
  2. Section A-READING has 18 questions. Attempt a total of 14 questions, as per specific instructions for each question.
  3. Section B-WRITING & GRAMMAR has 12 questions. Attempt a total of 10 questions, as per specific instructions for each question.
  4. Section C-LITERATURE has 30 questions. Attempt 26 questions, as per specific instructions for each question.
  5. All questions carry equal marks.
  6. There is no negative marking.

Question Paper Design

Important: Section-wise marks breakdown in the Term 1 8 2 Syllabus was 10 Reading), 10 (Writing - Grammar) and 20 (Literature). However, as per the 0.8 marks per MCQ clarification given along with the CBSE Sample Paper (of 2 September 2021), total marks (section-wise) are varying by 1-2 marks Also, if the total marks scored by a candidate are in fraction, then the same will be rounded off. For example, 26.1 marks will be counted as 27 and so on.

SCIENCE Sample Question Paper - 2021- Class X Science (086) Time: 90 Minutes General Instructions:

  1. The Question Paper contains three sections.
  2. Section A has 24 questions. Attempt any 20 questions.
  3. Section B has 24 questions. Attempt any 20 questions.
  4. Section C has 12 questions. Attempt any 10 questions.
  5. All questions carry equal marks.
  6. There is no negative marking. SOCIAL SCIENCE SAMPLE QUESTION PAPER 2021- CLASS X SOCIAL SCIENCE - CODE 087 TIME-90 MINUTES MM-40M General Instructions:
  7. The Question Paper contains four sections.
  1. Section A has 24 questions. Attempt any 20 questions.
  2. Section B has 22 questions. Attempt any 18 questions.
  3. Section C has 12 questions (Case based). Attempt any 10 questions.
