1. I believe that the author of this book holds the position that worship to God is
a priority as evidenced by this word being in the title, but that it must be done
correctly for it to be accepted as true worship. I wholeheartedly agree with
this position and learned much from the information he shared in these three
chapters.
2. The third and the fifteenth chapters were most insightful to me and there were
three principles that resonated in my spirit as I read and thought about them.
The first one is that worship is “3 dimensional-outward, inward, upward). The
second is that there are certain types of worship that allows one to “overcome
the barriers”. And third and probably the most impactful was that “Acceptable
worship does not happen spontaneously.”
3. I feel like there are several actions that God would have me take away from
these chapters. The first would be to read the rest of the book because I felt
that he brought out ideas and principles that I did not know or had not
previously thought about. I also feel that I need to be more intentional in my
worship. Maybe I can work at being more present in the moments instead of
letting my mind wander at times. And most importantly, I need to learn how
to prepare and practice because I want my worship to be acceptable in His
sight.
