add your name in the “Software Project Reviewer” column for the selected author.
Author Preparation
Prepare for the review process by looking over your project repository, making sure you are able
to explain the overall project concisely and various components of your project repository. Also,
be prepared to discuss the status of your project and the major milestones you have completed
and still have to complete. In this informal pro ject review process, you, the author, will drive the
review by sitting at the computer with a control of the keyboard and the mouse, opening various

Reviewer Process

Before the start of the review process, look over the course project assignment requirements and make a checklist with the items that are required for project completion. During the process of the review, you, as the reviewer, need to identify which aspects of the project assignment requirements still need to be completed by the author. You also need to include any additional items to the checklist that you think are necessary for successful project release by the author. Using Markdown, create an issue in the author’s repository, which will contain review checklist.

Elevator Pitch

As we prepare to finalize the course, prepare a 30-second elevator pitch about you. An elevator speech or a mini pitch is a concise but cohesive story about yourself that positions you to obtain what you are aiming for. Imagine you are trapped with an influential individual who can make or break your next career move, whether it is a move into a industry job or gaining an acceptance to graduate school. Your elevator speech needs to be concise, a 30-second time will be strictly enforced. Your pitch should be tailored to a specific goal whether it is a particular type of work you are looking for or specific types of graduate programs you are seeking. It is helpful to focus on the solutions you can provide, not on your life story or what you generally do, and to provide concrete details (e.g., don’t just say you code, give specific languages or tools you have utilized).

Deliverables and Evaluation

You are invited to submit the following materials:

  1. Updated spreadsheet with relevant information.
  2. Issue posted in the author’s project repository with the requirements outlined above.
  3. Elevator pitch to be given during the class session on December 6.
