Background

The business type that will be used is Limited Liability Company (LLC) thus it is a hybrid entity that combine the characteristics of a corporation with those of a partnership or sole proprietorship. In clothing brand, it is best to choose LLC as the business type since it enables to split the shares evenly among the partners, while protecting ourselves from double taxation. A limited liability company is a somewhat new form of business. It was created for small businesses to avoid double taxation on both income and dividends. Products and Services

JED Clothing Brand will closely follow generational fashion trends as well as our own customers’ purchasing preferences. While apparel, such as business clothing, casual wear, jeans and formal wear will be our main staple, we will also offer some accessories such as belts, scarves, and hats. We will earn profits by selling our merchandise. Our pricing structure will remain flexible, as we will implement suggested retail pricing on common brands as well as the standard practice of key stoning prices. Additionally, we will use a value-based pricing structure, which measures the value of our products to our customers such as easy access, quality, customer service and styles flattering to our target consumer. We will implement end of season sales, holiday and overstock sales, multi-buy savings and promotional coupons at strategic intervals. As our company grows and our boutique earns a positive reputation, several opportunities will open to us. And we are considering some options already. Should we choose to remain a small local boutique, we will develop and grow our company by increasing existing clothing lines and expanding our selection to include additional products such as swim wear, lingerie, or sportswear. Within five years, we will assess the potential for franchising our stores in select locations. As we build our business, we plan to simultaneously develop an online clothing store for JED Clothing Brand (Fashion and Apparel). The power and ease of an online storefront is obvious to us, and we plan to develop one quickly and efficiently. We also see the potential for regional and/or national expansion at some point. Our online clothing store will help to spread awareness of our product line and brand to a wider community. We base our projections on the assumption that the economy, consumer spending habits and population growth in Panganiban Drive Naga City will continue for the foreseeable future. We must also assume that our present and future suppliers will continue to sell inventory to us at prices that allow us to maintain our present margins. It is also important that we are able to hire reliable employees at reasonable wages.
