BACKGROUND

The real story of movie revolves around the life history of Christopher Paul Gardner (born February9, 1954) is an American businessman, investor, stockbroker, motivational speaker, author, and philanthropist who, during the early 1980s, struggled with homelessness while raising his toddler son, Christopher Gardner Jr. . Inspired by his Uncle Henry's worldwide adventures in the U.S. Navy, he decided to recruit himself, when he completed his secondary schooling. Gardner moved to San Francisco upon his discharge from the Navy in 1974 and married Sherry Dyson. The difference between their behavior ruined their relationship and ended in divorce. After this, Gardner determined to succeed at business. A pivotal moment occurred in his life, when he encountered an well-dressed man in a red Ferrari. Curious, Gardner asked the man about his career. The man told him he was a stockbroker and, from that moment on, Gardner's career path was decided. He set on working hard with patience to achieve his life goal and got it in reward

SUMMARY

The story depicts the struggle of a common man against the harsh

world .yet also showing his unwavering resolve and love for his son,

who he desires to give love as a father, which he himself was

exempted from as a child.

The father (Chris Gardner) is now struggling due to his wrong

investments. Now standing at a part of his life, where his relationship

with his wife is finished and he is not able to make a living, he now

decides to choose a unique career, unknown to him and harder job for

him as he had low educational qualification, a stock broker.

He and his son live in shelter and endure many hardships, but Chris

refuses to give into despair as he struggle to create a better life for

themselves.
