Why is there a need to ''Think before you click?”
I think that we need to think before we click because clicking something on the
internet without assuring if it’s safe and secured, it can lead us to a virus. Clicking
a web that is not secured can give our gadget some serious risks. Sometimes it
will be overrided by the virus or someone who’s in charge of the virus. They can
control your gadget and gather your personal informations and that is a problem.
If someone you don’t know gathers information of your life can be a problem in
different ways. Sometimes the virus can track your location and someday there
will be a knock on your door not knowing it’s the virus's creator/host. Clicking is
not just about clicking links or ads. Typing is also type of clicking. Clicking the
keyboard to say some messages. We need to think before typing our messages so
people will not misunderstood your message. Misunderstanding is not good
because it can lead to a problem. Example is using caps lock on delivering a
message. The receiver will think that you’re angry at them and that will lead to a
fight or a problem because you’re not talking at each other in person. With peer
pressure being a weak point among young people, 'Think Before You Click' also
encourages internet users to say 'no' when asked to carry out something on the
internet and not to feel bad or intimidated to stop a chat thread or refuse a friend
request from someone unknown. It can help us protect ourselves from bad
intentions. We can avoid this by learning the simple rules on using the internet.
Maybe one day if we don’t protect ourselves from the internet this will be a
problem in the future that will change our lives. So we need to use internet
carefully and be disciplined so we’ll be safe from the bad side of the internet.
