1.Cloud Computing Cloud computing is a modern concept of computing over internet. It delivers different types of services over the Internet. From software and analytics to secure and safe data storage and networking resources, everything can be delivered via the cloud. Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. Examples:  a mobile app  download an image  a Netflix show  play an online video game Types of Cloud Computing:

  1. SAAS: stands for Software as a service that means you directly get the software to use.It is built in and you can directly start using it. (e.g Gmail, Facebook)
  2. PAAS: Platform as a service, that means it offers you the platform, the framework in which you can build your own apps, websites at a speed which on-premise solution can provide.(e.g AWS,Saleforce force.com platform)
  3. IAAS: Infra as a service, this is not widely used service.(e.g Amazon) -- Characteristics of Cloud Computing:  Availability  Scalability & Elasticity  Easy to maintain  Resource pooling  Economical

2. CRM

What is CRM? CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. It is everything that you would need to keep track of your customer's activity and hold the information related to your customer, for example: name, address, previous interactions, job, likes etc. CRM is defined as customer relationship management and is a software system that helps business owners nurture their relationships with their client. That is to say, the entire biodata of your customer is available at one place called CRM.  On Demand CRM The term 'on demand CRM' refers to offering CRM solution in cloud or in private cloud, without the necessity to deploy, administer and host software on the company's server. The CRM provider is not the company that is using the application, but another company  On Premise CRM CRM solutions that are built by a company for their own usage. Some companies prefer not to let a third party vendor handle their data. This is especially true of companies handling sensitive information such as banks and insurance companies.

3. Salesforce CRM What is Salesforce??? Salesforce is the world's favourite Customer Relationship Management tool! But it is not just a CRM: it has gone much beyond the word CRM. Salesforce can broadly be defined as a cloud based CRM which inclues all the features of traditional CRMs. It was introduced in 1990. and today is being rated as the world's best CRM Products of Salesforce CRM :- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud.  Traditional CRM Vs Salesforce CRMTraditional CRM  High Cost  Hosted on Company's own Server  Takes Months or Years to Set up  Difficult to Understand and Use  Non Scalable  Salesforce CRM  Lower Cost  Hosted on Cloud  Can be set up in few days or weeks  Easy to use and Understand  Easily Scalable

Lightning Platform - Salesforce Lightning experience is a new generation productive user interface. Production- this is the Instance of salesforce where end users work. Sandboxes- Salesforce sandboxes are copies of your Production environment. A sandbox contains all the configuration, customization, apps and code (known as metadata) that you have made to your Production environment.  Sandbox Types - A. Developer Sandbox B. The company profile contains core information for your organization within Salesforce, some of which is captured during the initial system sign-up, and includes the following:

 Standard Applications- Standard application in salesforce is nothing but the application which is already present in salesforce.  Custom Applications- As per business requirements we can create our own applications, those applications are called as custom applications.
