S.Madushalini (Project Manager) -
As the project manager, it is ultimately my responsibility to ensure whether the project is completed successfully and on time. I contributed more than what was expected of me to the progress of the project. I watched many videos online to gain knowledge about handling the team and getting ideas until I was skilled enough to explain them to the teammates. I participated in every meeting and had many great ideas on how to make the tables and allocating each member their tasks. I understood and acted on the needs and ideas of the other members of the team as we continued through the project. I advised on each and every task allocated. I think I deserve the highest rating because I supervised each and every section while helping the colleagues to build them, and my contribution to the negotiation of goals were analytical. I was able to successfully complete the project by the end of the deadline with the help of my team members.
I, the project manager arranged many meetings throughout the planning, implementation and designing of the project. Almost every member of the team participated in every meeting. The quality of the backend throughout the project flawless. Each of us contributed a unique aspect to the project as we shared the work load. We divided the team into two groups, one team decided the entities and attributes drawing the ER-Diagram while the others developed the tables. Whenever one of us faced a problem, we made sure that we were able to contact each other at any time of the day. As the project manager, I managed to sort out many unsolvable questions that my fellow team members had throughout the completion of the project. I ensured that I, the project manager held at least 3 team meetings per week to discuss about the progress of the project. I made sure that each of us prepared progress reports in every meeting. I assured that the librarian recorded and noted down meeting minutes of every single meeting. As the project manager I made sure that every member in the team completed their tasks on or before the deadline.
Every member of our team knew what they needed to do to strive for the common goal and our team could achieve something that one person never could. Talent itself can get the work done, but with teamwork you can get much further. We knew that there’s a power in a group of people who work together towards a shared goal and that a properly managed team, boost strengths and brings out the best in each member. Following this idea, really all employees should work in teams. Because there’s no better way to achieve more, than by working together and each of us knew that.
