Maybe you already have some experience with your education online. Maybe you will start using this in September. In this workshop you will get a quick overview of what adaptations are needed to deliver your course succesfully in an online format and how you can use the tools available to do so. The workshop is based on the learnings we have gained over the last months as well as the latest insights on online teaching.
As a result, you will walk away with a first set-up of your course, redesigned into an online format. The overview gives you a good basis and ideas of how to adapt your course and will help you to select follow-up workshops that fit your course type the best.

How to make my 'workgroup'/Q&A interactive? (15:30-17:00)
Starting discussions in a Zoom session with the majority of the video screens turned off is a challenge. What to do with these black screens? How to create interaction, even in groups of 35-40 students online? In this workshop you will learn how to make your 'live' online sessions more involving and interactive. You will learn different options and techniques to engage and activate the students during your online workgroup and/or Q&A sessions. As a result, you will know what tools to use, how to use them, and are ready to apply them into your own Zoom sessions.

Workshop sessions: How to redesign my course
You want to redesign your course but don't know where to start? And you do not want to struggle with transforming your course on your own? In this workshop session you will work in small groups on your own course. You will learn about the different formats and find the best fit for your course. Learn from your colleagues, work together efficiently, and save time together. After completing this session, you will have a set-up of a new course-design. If you need follow-up support afterwards, a 1-on-1 training is available.

How to successfully moderate an online Zoom session? (13:00-14:30)
Are you a Teaching Assistant? Do you want to be able to successfully help to set-up, organise, and moderate the Zoom classes? We will learn to work with break-out rooms, speak about common pitfalls, and what to do when technical issues occur.
Are you a lecturer working with a Teaching Assistant? Please ask them to register for this training.
