Prioritization
First thing first
Simply prioritization in time management is to manage your time wisely in order of its importance or
urgency. One should figure out which task should be completed. 1 st, 2nd ,3rd and so on so that the work is
also completed on time and done without any mess.
We can see here in the figure works have been categorized as important and urgent, important but not
urgent, not important but urgent and finally not important and not urgent as well.
So, the first one says important and urgent that means these tasks should be of highly priority and
should be done at first. You cannot leave these types of task for last hour. You should be able to identify
such task. (Imp meetings, hospital emergency etc).
Then comes, important but not urgent ones, so make sure that you have plenty of time to do these
things properly so that they do not become urgent. However, one should leave enough time to deal with
the unforeseen problems. In order to avoid stressful hours. [weekly planning, long-term planning]
3rd one is not important but urgent ones. Actually, these types of task are interruptions. These task don’t
help us in achieving our own’s mission but these are especially focused on helping others. For eq any
friend may request you to help them for certain work, phone calls, message etc.
Last but not the least not important and not urgent kind of task. These types are distractions so we
should avoid them if possible. Simply we can cancel or ignore such task. For instance browsing social
media or playing games etc.
Setting Objectives
It is one of the most important part for time management and helps in achieving required goal. By
setting objectives one knows how to properly utilize their time each day and remain focused which helps
in minimizing work load. Also, one most have proper knowledge to begin.
Using Time Effectively
As we all know time and tide waits for none. So, better utilize time properly. For this time management
is crucial. What work is to be done on time should be done so that later we don’t have to regret. Its
better to work smartly rather work hard. To work smarter, one should always be time bound and time
calculative. As I have said earlier managing time requires setting proper goals and objectives as well as
prioritizing wisely.
