Finishes
When we went to the construction site the finished floor finishes were not applied yet
as the building was still in the structural phase but according to the provided finish
schedules, we were able to get some proposed finishes.
According to the floor finish schedule we were told that the floor finishes will be
600mm x 600mm ceramic tiles for the main building rooms then in the bedrooms the
floor finish will be carpets.
The wall finishes will be tiles in the bathrooms and in certain parts in the kitchens but
in the other rooms paint will be used but the type of paint and tiles that are going to
be used was not indicated.
The temporary ceiling finish is timber as the building is still in the structural phase as
seen in figure 1 below.
The Tile finishes that are going to be used will be ceramic tiles with 600mm x 600mm
dimensions and the carpet finish are brown wooden colour looking carpets.
The kitchen finishes were not in the schedules as a kitchen manufacturing company
is going to be called in to check for a suitable kitchen design after the house is in the
proper phase for kitchen installations.
The Garage floor finish will be a smooth concrete finish.
Unfortunately, the ceiling, cupboard, sanitary fittings and Ironmongery finishes was
not indicated on the schedules and no information was given to us.
